Screen Printing on Clay

Here are a few images of the work that I have just started working on for the fall semester. I am screen printing onto clay slabs, adding slip and underglazes for some extra color and eventually these slabs will become cups. I have been thinking about doing this for a while ever since Israel Davis came and did a demonstration on screen printing, and now I am finally doing it. Hopefully the next post will be of the cups that I have created from these slabs. They are going to be kind of rugged and imperfect looking, with lots of their own character and personality. I really want to make alot of cool cups this semester so I think that this is the perfect start.
We also have this really cool table outside that is really great to work on, so I am hoping that we will get to keep it out there.
